No. you got it backward. Landed Ames around 8:15 last night, then departed at 8:30pm for Charles City, where the charter is based. Weather at CC was below minimums, so they diverted to Mason City, where the same charter company has another hangar.
The City crew did a great job. The airport staff Xmas party was tonight, so shorthanded. We had 2 trucks running, but that can’t keep up with a mile long, 100’ wide runway and a 4 acre ramp. Thanks to them for coming out to assist.
Actually Cornell AG is state-funded. It's a weird arrangement, but they're much more like ISU than unlike in their College of Ag.
