    I don't have access to Willie's article, but I'm assuming he has him behind Hopke and Sahakian (high schoolers ranked ahead of him) and Attao and Mullen, college freshmen who have some pretty good freestyle accolades.

    ***2024 NCAA Wrestling - Session 6/FINALS (Sat., 6:00)***

    Watched all night but didn’t have volume on outside of Carr’s match. I hope the other 9 matches didn’t include the announcers talking about the runner-up the entire time the champion was celebrating on the mat after winning an NCAA title.

    I know we want all our studs in the same lineup, but I think it's more likely that we have one AA-level guy that just isn't in the lineup (and maybe taking a RS year), as opposed to bumping a bunch of guys up to non-optimal weights. Good problem to have with the right coaching staff to solve it.

    If Kysen wins first round, he’d only need to beat a winless guy and then one of Strickenberger/Anderson/Griffin to place top 6. Needs to get it done. Losing right away makes things much more difficult.

    I think your last sentence is the only real takeaway here. I don’t feel the need to worry about Casey or MJ. They’re good. We’ve seen them be good for months. One close match/loss to a teammate they wrestle all the time isn’t a huge deal. 125 is weird, but that’s par for the course this year.
