    Brent Metcalf Head Coach?

    The argument of Gilman>Ayala (and obviously Taylor>Ayala) is completely valid, but "low level AA" isn't really accurate. Ayala's a 2x NCAA finalist who got 5th this year behind four generationally talented freshmen. He hasn't lost to anybody but All-Americans since his true freshman season.

    Brent Metcalf Head Coach?

    I wasn't following wrestling as closely when Metcalf was at Iowa, but was still surprised when he got hired at ISU. Gilman at Iowa might've radicalized me as a Cyclone wrestling fan. So, would a Gilman hire be less, more, or equally surprising compared to Metcalf in 2017?

    Didn't realize how good Mastny's first round opponent was. Top 40 recruit out of high school, had folkstyle wins over Mocco and Bechtold (#4 HWT). Fargo runner-up. Beat Evan Bates from Mizzou this year. All this to say, we got a good one.

    I would've guessed Ech/Frost flipped but I also don't know anything. I never thought Ech would do 141 again this season, let alone next year too. Also, bit of an oversight on his part having Herrera 14th but no Merrill.

    I'm glad to hear that. I don't have anything bad to say about Kemerer, and I actually liked the way he wrestled, but he doesn't move the needle nearly as much as Yianni would.
