    KCCI announced Sandberg's passing with a picture of him in a Phillies hat. He came into the league as a player for Philly and left as a manager for Philly but come on. Thoughts?

    Hopefully someone can find a clip. I remember an interview with Johnny when they were looking at going to 3 free throws on 3 point shots and they asked Johnny what he thought about it, it was over 30 years ago but I think Johnny said "it's the dumbest $#@&$ thing I've ever heard of" I miss Johnny.

    From what I've read pro athletes pay income tax on game checks in the state the game is played. So when the 49ers play at the Texans in October Brock will owe state tax in Texas.

    I'm confused. I read the contract is 5 years and runs through the 2030 season. Does this mean he still has to finish out his current deal? He still has to wait a year to receive some cash? I figured the current contract would be voided and the new would start immediately?
