    Protect College Sports Act

I'd rather give players contracts with buyout clauses just like the coaches. Players can leave as often as they want, but if they leave they owe the university some portion of the payment back. Players contracts are with the university and not the coach, so if the coach leaves the buyout is...

ISU RELEASE: 2026 Cy-Hawk game will kick at 6:30 and be broadcast on NBC

According to Bill Connelly, Iowa lost slightly MORE production from last year (returning 44% of production) than we did (45%). The difference is all their backfills have been in the program for 1-3 years, whereas ours are mostly new. They were a very old team last year...

    Fan Boundaries with Student Athletes

Im not a social butterfly and on the occasions that I go to bars I mostly want to just chill by myself or with my group. If anyone interacts with an athlete in person, it should only be to give appreciation. Approaching someone who doesn't know you to complain, belittle or want an in depth...

Williams & Blum: NBA Combine, CFP Expansion, and Wheel of Cyclone lore

I love the Wheel of Lore. I think there are a lot of current fans in Hutchens' situation where they don't know a the history of ISU before about 2010. It's good for both young and old fans to get a little perspective on how much ISU and college athletics have changed over nearly 20 years.

When do you think you will buy a 100% pure electric vehicle?

In the engineers' defense, you have to provide some cooling to anything that transmits power and anytime you run a coolant loop there's a chance a seal fails leading to contamination. Head gasket failure puts coolant in the combustion chamber. Other failures put coolant in the oil pan. But you...

When do you think you will buy a 100% pure electric vehicle?

Weird things like that happen. In one 12 month span my little brother got married in Maine and then I took a job just south of Bellingham. So we drove from IA - ME - IA and then IA - WA twice to move. Basically across the country twice. One guy I work with here moved from FL and drove his car...

Ozempic, GLP-1 and other modern diabetes / weight loss medications

Saying she or others are "ultra vain" is probably a reach, but I agree there are a lot of people taking it for cosmetic reasons rather than health needs. And just like steroids/PEDs in sports, if there is an incentive to be very thin then there will be pressure to take drugs that wouldn't...

Ozempic, GLP-1 and other modern diabetes / weight loss medications

Some new studies / meta-analyses coming out recently indicate that the lean mass loss from GLP-1s is not different from the lean mass loss that occurs during lifestyle changes alone...

When do you think you will buy a 100% pure electric vehicle?

I searched for mileage distribution but averages was all I could find. I am curious if there are more Americans who drive <1k miles per year or >40k per year. Lots of folks in big cities who don't drive - walk, bike, public transport or rideshare is all they need.

When do you think you will buy a 100% pure electric vehicle?

Avg annual miles per vehicle is only 12k. Slightly higher per licensed driver because most people end up driving more than one vehicle per year. State & Urbanized Area Statistics - Our Nation's Highways - 2000 https://share.google/isKPKq8IWd6Q1h3Rq

When do you think you will buy a 100% pure electric vehicle?

Most trucks are volume limited rather than weight limited. The items being hauled usually aren't dense enough to hit the max payload within a 53' trailer. The tow ratings have more to do with axle and tire loads, and the resulting loads on the road, than the truck's ability to pull/stop it. The...
