    Ex-Clones at other schools

Nope. Brahmer has a ton of potential, but injuries have held him back. The trio of Kolar, Allen and Soehner had over 3,000 yards, and were probably all better blockers than the recent guys. Kolar just signed a big NFL deal in large part due to his emergence as a high-level blocker, and he was...

    ***2026 NCAA Baseball Tournament***

Pack for Texas is super impressive. How the hell does a true Fr lead the SEC in batting. Every time I see him his ABs are just a clinic.

I’m def adopting WVU. My fave Big 12 school after ISU. A kid from Cedar Falls will be going there next year after crushing it in JUCO.

    Milan Momcilovic commits to Kentucky

Non-Big 12 is a good thing, but I hate Kentucky. Program full of douche players, douche coaches and douche fans. I’ve always wanted Kentucky players to fail, except maybe playing the hawks. Next year will be no different. Players are all in one year free agent deals. Likewise I cheer for the...

    Milan Momcilovic commits to Kentucky

Campbell seems like he had stopped enjoying coaching for a while. He definitely did not mellow over the years. Quite the opposite. He started losing his **** more and more.

    Which state is most Midwestern?

Not only that, the Great Lakes and Rust Belt cities have a distinct look and vibe, and it’s not MSP at all. MSP feels a hell of a lot more like Denver or a western city than Chicago or any of the Rust Belt industrial cities. Generally I don’t share Iowans’ opinions of cities though. Iowans...

    Which state is most Midwestern?

Really? I feel like MSP, KC, DSM and Omaha are quintessential Midwest cities. Great Lakes cities along with StL have a bit of rust belt feel to them. Not sure what other region/feel MSP could have. Way more like the MW feel than Great Lakes/Rust Belt.

    Which state is most Midwestern?

Southern Indiana is like Deliverance. The Southern tip of Illinois at Cairo is like a post apocalyptic movie scene. The bottom tier of Iowa counties can be pretty redneck. I feel like now a lot of other parts of rural Iowa are wannabe rednecks. I grew up in the sticks of NW Iowa. Had fishing...

I'm pretty surprised they don't cut as FR. But I guess I've seen most of the sports they simply have kids that never get on the floor at any level, so they just quit. I remember a coach talking about how they did not want to, or the AD did not want them to be a program that cut. So even in...

It might be worth getting an idea of how far they cut down to for the freshman team typically each year. Then he can get an idea of how close he is to making a team or getting cut. Most of these schools probably cut, and they might keep the Fr. squad to 12-15 guys. It seems to me that the...

Milan Momcilovic withdraws from the 2026 NBA Draft

Why do people care if fans want MM to fail. That comes from passion for their school and team. That passion is the reason a guy can go make millions of dollars to do something completely meaningless. I’m an ISU fan only. I want ISU players to do well, and guys playing against the hawks to do...

    High School Sports Thread

I’d say as a requirement to be on the team, no that’s not normal. All the big schools and sports have pretty significant offseason demands, but FB and basketball summer requirements usually would at least be isolated to either morning or afternoon, not both. I suppose technically they can’t...
