    Do they not open them immediately either? I haven’t been to a college game where they sell beer, but I’d imagine they don’t want those cans to become projectiles full of beer.

    I mean…enjoy spending 10 bucks for a beer. Who’s really winning? I do think it’s best for the AD to do this. I personally don’t care either way other than I think it helps not look like a poverty program after halftime.

    No connection? I’d argue the reason they have kept it so long was to appease the people who couldn’t go a half of football without a beer. Keep everything in house. Iowa state has fantastic tailgating but that doesn’t bring in money for the AD.
