I said 50s-70s. Mid 70s being the biggest. Absolute boats of cars. And yes, the cars then were shorter (slightly) than trucks now, obviously, but they were just as heavy. 80s and 90s had vehicles get way smaller, which is why your pickup is dwarfed today.- AllInForISU

According to Iowa DOT, the car going straight has the right of way in that situation. “Arriving first” only applies to All Way stops.- AllInForISU

Just look internationally how things have been trending. Yes US is still the best by far. That however has shrunk significantly in the past 30 years. The head start we had in the other sports was significant, due to creating most of them. Women’s soccer is the outlier, but the rest of the world is catching up quickly on that now that they actually let their women participate.- AllInForISU
