You still need someone with teeth to enforce anything that's worked up contractually. NCAA athletics is a willy nilly free for all that will destroy everything but the richest of universities.

He’s young and probably just said something off the cuff but your word is your bond. At least that is what my father taught me. I disagree. Long shot to make the NBA which is why if he does truly have a huge offer I can’t blame him for taking it, even though it would absolutely suck.
