They didn't want any team to have home field I guess. And for those that said it was guaranteed the Big 12 would be playing in the Fiesta Bowl... NOPE - ASU is playing in the Peach Bowl.
And holy crap - if OSU beats Tennessee you get a near-traditional Rose Bowl matchup.
Poor Alabama. lol
Nobody forces the SEC to schedule UMass and Mercer and Furman for November games.Saban was crying about not scheduling tough out of conference games. Alabama lost 3 SEC games didn't they? Two bad losses as well. Can't have two bad losses Bama. Sorry. SEC was overrated anyway.
He also prefaced by saying under the premise of non revenue share there are going to be huge advantages for certain teams.Saban highlighting that the only way to do this moving forwards is by having 30 teams separated into their own league
Or go to 16 with no byes.I wonder if they are going to re look at things next year. With the byes being what the are I could see a lot of years being like this one where the 1 seed has the hardest path. Kinda weird but don’t know what you do about it. That 2 seed is the best spot by far
Sounds like if you can't make the playoff, the answer is to kick everyone else out. Why bother with 30 when you could just do 16 SEC teams.Saban highlighting that the only way to do this moving forwards is by having 30 teams separated into their own league
SMU played BYU and TCU in their non-conf portion and Alabama's toughest game was at a terrible Wisconsin team.Saban was crying about not scheduling tough out of conference games. Alabama lost 3 SEC games didn't they? Two bad losses as well. Can't have two bad losses Bama. Sorry. SEC was overrated anyway.
He only "scheduled" the non-cons, which included 1 P4 team (v 2 for SMU) along with Mercer and Western Ky. How much easier can it get? (And yes I know he's not there, but no doubt these games were scheduled on his watch).Yep. He's worried that this will teach coaches not to schedule tough opponents. What it should teach them is not to lose to Vandy and Oklahoma.
Yeah, I didn’t understand what Saban was talking about…everyone wanting Alabama to schedule Notre Dame, etc for the non-con. They don’t do that….Bama's out of conference schedule. W. Kentucky, South Florida, Wisconsin, Mercer.......LOL........
Watch out, Bama might get rid of their brutal out of conference scheduling since the SEC is such a gauntlet. Vandy and a bad OU just make your schedule too difficult.
Nah I think they will just take the auto bye away. No reason why oregons path should be so much harder then Georgia or PSU or TexasOr go to 16 with no byes.
No ****, they didn't even lose any OOC games, wtf is he talking about?Saban was crying about not scheduling tough out of conference games. Alabama lost 3 SEC games didn't they? Two bad losses as well. Can't have two bad losses Bama. Sorry. SEC was overrated anyway.
100%. I'm looking at it thru the SEC bias lenseI can, they only scored 3 points against the worst Oklahoma team in recent memory. That has to matter.
Or go to 16 with no byes.

They are scheduled to play in a couple of years.Yeah, I didn’t understand what Saban was talking about…everyone wanting Alabama to schedule Notre Dame, etc for the non-con. They don’t do that….
Oh no, the teams in the playoffs have to face tough teams. The horrorNah I think they will just take the auto bye away. No reason why oregons path should be so much harder then Georgia or PSU or Texas
