They don't want that. Getting pretty dark to the west. Got my eye on the one between Argyle and Monroe.
Sooo sweet of you and your mom to stop by. We really do appreciate it!
My house almost burned down today.
My Dad's shop is underneath the garage, so that's where I took myself and the cats. Dad also always called it "The Bomb Shelter", which it essentially is.
I was getting some water in the shop where it meets the driveway in the NW corner.
The leak was right next to a power outlet in the ceiling, and it was coming in like a water faucet on low. That sum ***** got HOT, and you could hear it sizzling.
Killed the breaker, got the extinguisher ready, but it was cool to the touch about 20 minutes later.
There are several ceiling outlets against the wall as well, so if the foundation gets worse, I got several more fire hazards on my hands.
I have a feeling this isn't the first time this has happened though, as nobody EVER went to that back corner of the shop, and obviously my father has been gone over a year now.
I'm just gonna keep the breaker closed until I get someone to look at it.
I actually blame the driveway for this happening, so now gotta add a leveling/repair to the list once the house is finally in my name.

multiple roofs are damaged just south of the Johnston High School.
First thing I knew (I was taking a nap) was a text from @wxman1 that read "Get your asses to the basement". Good thing he did because our power AND internet were ou so we had no clue where things stood.

They do NOT need another one. I still remember what happened to them way back when (early 80s, I think). Towns should not have to go through that twice, let alone once.
In this clip you can see that tanker truck upright, but off the road, in the bushes.
Out in Urbandale working on getting power to houses that got their masts ripped out of meters. Lots of trees down, doesn’t look horrible otherwise, not from what I’ve seen anyway.
were south of stuart. Greenfield tornado essentially split between my place and highway 92. couldn’t see it from my place because rain was too hard

I hope they're okay. I've only seen one fatality...a person in a car that got launched. Don't even know m/f, let alone name.
