Plus, Indiana State doesn't have the administrative support or resources to maintain what Schertz has done there even if he would have stayed. He caught lightning and he needs to get out before it catches up.

I always wondered why they didn’t bring in Larry Bird.

It seems like a missed opportunity. He’s basically their Fred Hoiberg.

maybe they have and hes declined. he already was a HC and only was for 3 years

While I think you may be inferring a little too much here, I do love the idea of Scott Drew's first act as the coach of Kentucky would be to bring Caleb Lohner with him. The BBN folks would lose it.
