The point was using the forecast, I wouldn't be travelling on Friday in Stillwater or Ames. Thursday was fine and this was well known in the forecast a few days ago at both locations.
not a huge deal, just curious is all.
I highly doubt hotel space is an issue for this, especially when you know they already had reservations for Friday night.
Cool but something happened that made it hard to just up and get a flight.
Maybe the weather in both places made a difference?
Don't you not even go to or watch the games or something? Why so worried?
Holy smokes, it's a basketball game. It'll be fine. My suggestion is you start drinking....now....heavily.
I want some basketball tommorrow dammit! I've been pumped to keep this momentum going since Tuesday night. I might be forced to watch the Big 10 or something as a last resort if the game is called.

Don't you live in Iowa? Most of Wednesday and Thursday were completely fine for travel in Central Iowa.

Truth. Sister and niece posted me pics of their neighbor blowing their driveways and walks. Once some guys get out there it's all Tim Allen grunting. Maybe payback because late BIL used to have the BIG snow chucker and was the guy that did half their hood.

Just curious, when was the last time a conference MBB game was postponed for weather? I really can't remember it happening so assuming it would be incredibly rare.
NFL teams have their own plane for the season (some even own their own plane). NCAA charter planes arrive about an hour before the teams departure (generally speaking). For basketball, sometimes the charter plane they arrive in is not the one that will take them home. Lots of ramifications of leaving a day early, most notably, the likelihood of not having a plane for the team. Hotel coordination is probably the easiest of all the logistics.
