I have doubts West-O can keep up during football season. After that they'll probably be fine. Maybe by next season demand will settle down a bit. We're a week in and so far demand seems exceed supply by like 10x or more. They should jack the price up $5 and send that $5 to WEWILL until demand calms down. I'd pay the extra $5 to get my hands on a couple 6 packs.

My point exactly. Pretty much $0.50 more and that $0.50 is going to WeWill. Which I’ll say for the 3rd time I’m totally fine with (and would be if it were $15 a six pack). Let it go.
I guess a 50 cent difference doesn't seem like a huge price gap, but apparently we have different perspectives.
Exile also has to maintain capacity of their core beers as well. I get that Exile having more capacity gives them more flexibility but let's not pretend they are going to shift all 13K bbls of their capacity to Swarm.
They also added something like 500 bbls of capactity recently and I'd assume that will all go to Ames Lager at least form the short term.
They aren't going to meet demand for the next few months between initial excitement and tailgate season. They would have also been crazy to meet that initial bubble. After the initial excitement the demand will settle out to something more steady and I'm confident they will meet that.
Until then having everyone talk about how it's flying off the shelves is good for demand/building excitement.

That's true, but Exile can still afford to shift some of that capacity to Swarm and I'm not sure or rather don't know if West O does have that ability.
You're definitely right about the timing. With football season, it's definitely going to be in higher demand. It's kind of head scratching a larger brewery didn't agree to a partnership. There's very little downside IMO. You're brewing a beer for a group of people who have historically drank establishments out of alcohol (Hawk and Cyclone fans alike) and who are extremely passionate about supporting their schools. I would assume the donation can also be used as a tax write off? I would also imagine it's easier for individuals to support the NIL Collectives through purchasing beer rather than making an actual donation. Heck, as a Cyclone leaning Panther fan, I'd buy a sixer just to try it, but there's no reason I would ever make a donation.
Lincoln Center got a small shipment in this morning and it was all gone within an hour.
