So does anyone know of any bars in the metro that have ESPN+ for a game watch Saturday? Figured with the 49ers playing at the same time would be a good day to go for a game watch somewhere. East side of metro (Ankeny/Altoona) preferable, but anyplace in DSM would do.

Great question. Not sure how the bar and espn plus thing works. Do they have to pay per TV or just one big price

I think it's against the rules for a bar to show ESPN+ games which is kind of stupid.

I don't have ESPNU and can go to a bar that has it.

Businesses need a license to show ESPN+ content. So probably your big chain bars will have it

How would they regulate that? What's to stop me from splitting that signal in my own home on 10 different TV's?

Had a friend who owned a bar/restaurant and he showed a Mike Tyson fight and got a bill a few months later for 5k. Somehow they can track that stuff

Wellman’s in WDM has shown games on ESPN+ before… I’m sure they’ll have ISU/NFL on.

Big Grove on Ingersoll will most likely have both games going on their big screens. Great beer and wings. You may see me there.

Probably just trace it off the ISP backbone entry point which would specify that it's a business.

I don’t know if they would, but maybe Spectators (since you’re considering Altoona)?

That's what I wondered when I saw it mentioned, along with sharing my login with family, etc.

If anything can't it be good advertising for ESPN+ to have it on at a bar?
