A&M midnight yell rally,.....WTF????

There was a Tweet a few years back that went viral within the A&M community. IIRC a girl tweeted about wanting to find a husband while at A&M so they could have little "giglets" together. It went viral within the greater college football community as well, but for entirely different reasons. These people are literally a cult.
 
From what I've heard of TAM, the video could have been a lot worse! This was just dumb, not perverted.
 
I spent a month there for grad school about 15 years ago. I went to one midnight yell and football game and that was one too many. It was easily the strangest sports experience and group of people I have ever been around. The little traditions, hand signals, and songs all over campus make you feel like you're in preschool again. And the whole Corp of Cadets thing....I thought it was some big ROTC program, but it's just a fake military-like cult where they live in barracks and people bow down to them. Just so f****** weird. I ended up leaving College Station after a month and vowed to never ever go back to that place again.

Keep in mind that a and m was founded by a guy who got ran out of the State of Iowa before he was in kindergarten and was beaten to a pulp for good measure by iowa state soldiers in the Civil war.
 
I refuse to believe A&M is any kind of legitimate institution of learning.

Also, a Mountaineer is a pretty cool thing. These nerds are saying the guys who first summited Mnt Everest and K2 are losers? That's my hobby and I'm pretty proud to be a mountaineer.

Yeah, these guys are cool, but Edmund Hillary and Alex Honnold are losers.

I remember seeing them do this stuff when Texas A&M use to come to town. I thought it was strange then and this video certainly doesn't change my mind any. Their band was pretty cool though.
 
It’s odd, I live in Austin, I know tons of a and m people, all nice and normal. But they have this brand they put forward with this group of people that’s borderline perverted, I don’t understand it.

He kept tripping over the mason jar there on the ground….
 
My roommates and I in college went down to College Station for the Big 12/SEC challenge. It's just as weird for basketball games. We kinda poked fun at one of their chants and the death glares we got like we just insulted their mother were honestly intimidating. We high tailed it the **** out of there after the game
