Isheem Young enters transfer portal

Have to agree with the first part. I think this is going to get worse and worse. It feels like this is going to turn into an MLB type system. Teams like ISU (Twins, Brewers in MLB) are going to get kids like Isheem and make them into studs, and then big teams are going to come throw a bunch of money at them and they'll leave. I hope I'm wrong, but I think it's going to get a lot worse. And the NCAA is powerless and useless in trying to stop it.

NCAA can strike back by changing transfer rules

What are your thoughts on guys like Aric Horne and Kym-Mani King who haven't proven enough to get huge NIL money but were in line for big playing time next season?

No idea. Dumbfounded. but they are both good enough to be paid something, which is more than they were getting here.

Something is going on....it can't only be NIL
The only thing I would say would be that this is happening across the country.

But even still. Not good. Most of these kids transferring aren’t even projected starters besides Isheem.

NIL or not. It is logical for someone to leave if $ greater than what you are currently getting. We do it in the workforce too, minus the risk of becoming a paraplegic or obtaining a career ending injury. Hopefully basketball won't be as bad as it is non-contact, but then again, money talks especially to kids.

Kym-mani King was a starter until he got hurt against OU

Would you leave for 50k? Because that is soon to be nothing for a P5 starter in NIL. NOTHING
Probably more like 500k if it is a position of need for a P5 and you're a starter on a top defense.

Are Oklahoma fans just trolling us or is there actual smoke about Heacock going there?
Have most of these transfers been defensive players?

Still wouldn’t explain Townsends decommittment. As well as Scates and Anderson leaving.

I'm guessing he goes home to Penn State. His draft grade was a 4th-5th round from what I've seen; kind of interesting he's transferring rather than going pro.

It has to be that Heacock is leaving or retiring or something like that. This is all too weird, and blows hard.
