Conference play starting on the road against 3-0 Baylor. Early forecast is 90 deg and sunny again so going to be roasting like last time. Hopefully we are better prepared or get the tents approved in time at least.

Important to start 1-0 in B12.

I can’t really ever remember a time where we played well in Waco. This game is really going to tell us what kind of season we are looking at. Baylor is better than last year. Looking forward to hopefully seeing a win.

I haven't watched them yet this year and I know KU is terrible, but kind of surprised they won that game by the score they did. I'm sure they will be jacked because of 1st conference game at home and a ranked opponent. Need good things to happen early for ISU IMO.

KU is going to be better than expected. Baylor game is concerning with the way we have been playing.
Baylor will always concern me, because they get good guys in TX. Not Briles level guys anymore, but decent talent nonetheless.

Brock needs to be sharp yet again, the run offense humming, and the D hopefully continues their dominance.

BU opponents combined record is 2-6 and all 3 opponents have losing records. Their competition was bad but they did what they should which was win. Our opponents record is 5-4 and 2 of 3 opponents with winning records. Much like last year I have no idea how this game will go.

Baylor is extremely 1 dimensional on offense. They run for over 325+ yards a game. That will NOT happen against ISU. Baylor is improved, but ISU should take care of business. The ISU offense will be the key to winning. We already know the defense will do its part.

Run game is the key for both teams. Ours needs to take off. I don't trust the WRs to get separation against a better defense than UNLV. If we stay limited to 3-4 yards per rush I'm going to be very concerned.

This. That rushing yardage number looks a lot different when you have examined who they've played. Two bad small schools from Texas. And then freakin' KU.

We controlled the game in 2017, and we had Noland at QB. But I agree, that stadium is always dead, which can be tough to play in as a road team ironically.

I always thought they had terrible fans, but since the fans have no tents, we know it's dangerously hot for them to even be in the stadium.

When asked about their poor fan support, then coach Matt Rhule said, "I get it's hot. But if Charlie Brewer can play football without even being able to stand, speak, or know his own name, surely these soft ass fans can come out and make life difficult for the opposition."
