Yeah, that concerned me too. Was the same crap we heard during the mcdermott era.
And we had an example of someone who could rebuild in 1 year just a decade ago.
I honestly think game day coaching is overrated. Even LE used to say it. Recruiting is a huge part of it, as is game planning, and Otz excels at both. I'm on board.
Sometimes being a good steward of the program isn’t supporting those making millions, as was the case with Prohm. That may be true with JP.

Oh, I think he would have. But I do think you are right that TJ was a part of that.
He could be fine. I just don't think it is a good choice. And unlike a lot of you, I actually will have to attend all the home games

Jamie TOLD US it was going to be fast. That entire video today was a warning that it was going to be TJ.
I predicted earlier tonight it would be announced on Thursday.
If it is TJ, than I will support him. I can see a way he could be successful at ISU with the right assistants, and he might be able to hang on to some of the guys coming in, and keep some of the other guys from leaving. It will be a tough job, but Prohm is the guy that created this mess. As far as not being an X and O guy, I was never impressed with Prohm as a floor coach. TJ can't be any worse. I don't understand all the hate on here for him.
While I would like a full coaching search it was likely going to result in TJ beating out the canidates we've been debating the past month geeting it over now is for the best.
TJ will get a head start on assembling the best staff from all the avaialble canidates, talk to the current players (and Hunter/Nunn) and convince the ones he wants to stay and start contacting transfers this week. I do think TJ can have early success with a couple of good hires/keeping players. Let's see how it goes.
