Walk on appreciation thread

Three cheers for the walk ons!

What do we know about these? Is the Doxzon kid related to Todd?

i think jack hester is devin hesters son

watch out kick returns.

i believe hayes gibson is mels son too.

Tyler Moen is from Atlantic. Watched a game this year where most of Atlantic's offense was him running right or him running left. All he had to do is juke a few guys and then he'd be gone. He was something like 25 yards short of the state record for rushing yards in a game, but he didn't play much in the fourth quarter. He also had 2 pick 6's on defense for 7 total touchdowns if I remember correctly. Of course, take all that with a grain of salt as I think the opposing team wasn't exactly putting up much competition, but he is pretty fast and athletic.

Glad to see him sign at ISU. Don't know if he'd ever play much at the BIG XII level, but I'd think he'd at least be a good practice guy.

Thanks for the break-down.

I always think it's crazy seeing some of the accomplishments of the walk-ons we get. It's a testament to how hard it is to earn a P5 scholarship offer.

Jordan Carstens is one of my favorite stories. From walk-on to NFL.

Did I read somewhere Lynott is switching to lb?

I remember Greg Hester! The crowd would always cheer loudly when he entered the game, because it meant we were having a blow-out win.
Kind of like the "STUUUUUUUUUUU" cheers a couple years ago in basketball. Those guys deserve accolades because it's all work and very little glory for them.
