*New Uniform Thread*

I always get excited seeing this thread bumped and then realize its just the same person posting the same pics over and over.

Was just thinking this
I know this isn't great, and I was going to post this in Kagavi's recent thread, but this was kind of a set-up.

I know this isn't great, and I was going to post this in Kagavi's recent thread, but this was kind of a set-up. So here you go. Try not to be too hard on me if you guys don't like Kagavi's chevron idea, just thought it might be good to visualize.

Hey appreciate you taking the time to do these. Thank you

Ran into a coach this week and asked about wanting new uniforms this year. They said they might be able to help me with my request and then walked away with a huge smile. My guess we are getting something nice this year.

The coaching staff underestimates the far reach of CF. They can make one sly little comment and Boom...here it is for the world to see.

I haven't read through this thread since the spring game but it's flat out amazing if no one realized what wearing their unifoms for the spring game means.

After seeing their regular uniforms on the players, the former player beside me says what I suspect as well, "that means they are getting new uniforms."

You don't wear your regular uniforms for scrimmages or practices unless you are making a change.

:radar::radar::radar::radar::radar::radar::radar:

I have no doubt that we will be getting new uniforms, this year or next, (to be clear, don't know this for sure, even though I have had some correspondence w/ the AD recently). But I am comfortable in thinking that this new staff gets it, in more ways than one, and we will know soon enough.

My feeling on 'uniforms' has changed so much since I started joining in on the discussion a year or two ago. I really did think we could get whatever we wanted, logos, colors, whatever, but realize it doesn't necessarily work that way.

I think we are nearing closure. I have no doubt that we will be getting new uniforms, this year or next, (to be clear, don't know this for sure, even though I have had some correspondence w/ the AD recently). The reason I brought this thread back is to post the updated chevron idea on it. I then, yesterday e-m'd the AD (cc to CMC also) a brief letter (w/ zip file of about 24 pics of the two most popular designs at CF, recent pics above, {from amestoplease and Cyclone Uniform guy}, a link to Kagavi's recent article, some of past ideas of alternate helmets, including alternate chrome ones, the suggestion of more flat stenciled I-State logo on helmet from you guys, mentioned breifly the variety OSU/Baylor have now, etc.).

I titled the letter 'For Future Reference, ISU football', as I believe, again not for sure, but pretty sure the AD and coaching staff have some football uniform changes coming, likely already decided. So, I told him that w/ this process nearly complete I'd like to send him some design pics for their 'future reference'. They can do what they want w/ them. It is ultimately their decision (not ours, like maybe last time when fan input was solicited). Pollard told me recently that 'he can't remember the last time he logged into CF and that his staff is not encouraged to do so either, not an efficient way to run an Athletic Dept.', he said, in not so many words. Can understand that completely, not sure I believe it though. So I sent him the letter.

My feeling on 'uniforms' has changed so much since I started joining in on the discussion a year or two ago. I kind of feel like I need to apologize for a lot of my posts, so over-zealous was I (I read over this thread and some others). I really did think we could get whatever we wanted, logos, colors, whatever, but realize it doesn't necessarily work that way. I can tell you, for what it's worth, that I learned a lot from you guys. There is wisdom on this board!

I'm out for now. Thank you all for putting up w/ me! I think we'll get something nice. (Anyone wanting a copy of what I sent to Pollard, let me know; I'd be happy to send to a select few.)

You're a little different.

first, I'm glad we have someone that is passionate about uniforms because I know I think we even need new uniforms.

second, Pollard said he doesn't go to CF. So can we stop all the open letters during the season?

That's not necessarily true, I know the teams that get on ESPN for their spring games, like Alabama worse last years jerseys.

This top one is sick

I have to disagree, as far as designs that are expanding on current design -- this seems like too many separate concepts jammed into one package. gold w/ cardinal trim on numerals (and shoulder stripe combo) doesn't seem to go w/ the cardinal pants, plus all of it with the white helmet. I like elements of it, but not all of it works together.
