Obviously a special teams fail, but we basically handed them the ball and dared them to score with a minute and a half left. That is not how you win football games. We have no reason to play not to lose, we have nothing to lose, so why would we play that way. Messingham just doesn't get it.

1. Go for it on 4th & 6 near midfield, fail to convert, and give opponent good field position.
2. Punt, and have it returned for a touchdown.

Keep in mind, your record is 1-8.

In a punting situation, you're completely right. But the play calling leading up to the 4th down is what is the big problem. We shouldn't have been putting ourselves in a 4th & 6 situation.

I happy it is 10-10 because I wasn't expecting that, but I'm having trouble letting go of how the staff did not attack up 10-3. There is literally not one reason I can think of to play conservatively at that point.

You are right, it was. I have been fairly neutral on the coaching all year. The playcalling by the coaches there was awful. Not only on Mess, I'm sure CPR had a hand in the sit on it approach.
