I wouldnt be surprised if the team wore Gold Jerseys to go along with the golden rules day at the stadium. I think it would look pretty cool.

My roommate has heard rumors that they will indeed be wearing some throwback gold jerseys for the NU game. Can't remember which year's version he said or where he got the info but he was pretty detailed as to which jerseys with gold helmets were going to be worn.

Personally, I'm not that big of a fan of trying to get everyone to wear gold either. The team has worn red at home for quite a while and the fans do as well. Why change just because Nebraska wears red too?

I like the idea. Just like when the basketball team wears gold sometimes. If we play an opponent that has red we should counter with our secondary color: GOLD! It's just like you don't wear gold when we play the Hawks because that is what most of their fans will wear.
I think some throwbacks with the old Cyclone logo or even the Redbird would look pretty neat actually.

I liked the gold helmets that just said Cyclones on it better than I did with the tornado cyclone emblem. I'd like the old throwback uniforms just for this one night.

special note: while it does sound like i'm hating on the gold unis...let it be known that i'm hating on the mustardy-gold unis of old. i still enjoy seeing the monkey sporty his sparkly gold one piece suit he wears for endeavors like jumping off the campanile for milestone posts.
