I am confused as to how this has anything to do with BCG being "F'd UP". What about Doc is so horrible that it is a bad thing to be friends with him?
You might very well be right. I have no idea how he is right now in his personal life. I'm hoping he's improved himself. If he has, I'd love to have him here.
People are claiming bad things about him. I'd love to hear some dirt.
This sounds like a chick trying to convince her best (desperate) girlfriend to not go out with a guy.

Just a few: 1. He hits on ESPN reporters and then when he's rejected he's a ***** on the air towards them not once, but twice.
2. He is a complete ******** to media members who ask simple questions about his team.
3. He doesn't feel like answering fan questions in his job description - he coaches basketball that's it - no booster functions, no talking to long time fans - nothing.
4. Doc Sadler is my least favorite coach in the Big 12 - for a VARIETY of reasons. None of which you will care about but he's classless - so being friends with him is a big negative
5. Lastly, the DIU - he's single and LOVES to party. He will be Larry part 2.

Matt, it would just kill me if we fire a standup guy to hire that idiot. It wouldn't go over well with the casual fan (non-internet board posting). Even those who think it is time for a change.
Funny 2 an 3 sound like some pretty successfull coaches in different sports-- namely Bob Knight, Bill Belichek, Lou Pinella, Nick Saban to name a few. Not wanting to be chummy with fans and the media has nothing to do with your ability to coach. Hitting on ESPN reporters, that seems to be a bit of a baseless claim. We are supposed to buy into your personal vendetta against Doc Salder, and also believe that his rehabilitative process has done him no good.

I agree JSB. If I'm picking between Mac and Billy - 100% of the time I pick Mac without even blinking an eye!

Your opinion on him seems most directly linked to the fact that he wasn't friendly to you, a media member. Remind me again what his ability to be friendly towards the media has to do with us winning basketball games? I think we need a guy with a little ******* in him to be successful around here.
Those are the reason some didnt like LE. ISU needs a coach like CPR, Orr, BF or Danny Mac, not some *******.
I remember seeing it on Deadspin. It was one of those situations where you're embarrassed for both parties as the tension between them was so obvious.
