I think 90% of radio country songs are Chip McCapp songs from Parks and Recreation.
Hated this 50 years ago. Still hate it now. Why no pregnant woman ever killed Paul Anka I will never know.
It is, but it has a good sad melody that makes the lyrics irrelevant if we're just holding it to "not the worst song ever" standards
This probably shouldn't count, considering its obscurity. (It's more fun to bash bad stuff by major acts), but ... here we go!

I don't think it's anything great, but worst song ever? Unless it's on repeat for an hour or so, who cares? IMHO you need more exposure to crappy music.
These are just a few. I hear any of these I can't turn the station fast enough

I'll give you it's a sad melody. Can't agree with you on good. It's a nothing melody, indistinguishable from any number of other weak ass spoonfuls of pablum.

This pretty much sums up my take on stereotypical 80's music, it's so bad that it's kind of good.
In my original post, that is a local band around here. I'm actually friends with the guitarist and never had the heart to tell him that his band sucks. You can tell by the video that the singer is a total douche that likes to brag about singing in a band, even though his vocals are the worst I have ever heard. He dated a friend of mine years ago and when I met him I had to ask my friend what the hell she was thinking. That band has another music video that is almost as bad as the one I posted.
