At this point we need bodies at 125 and see who pans out
Agreed, I just don’t know much about dru so was trying to gauge him.
What I like these guys have multiple years of eligibility. Smith Sakamoto and probably Ayala
Definitely not the same type of wrestler,. Upside not nearly as high, but I'd be he'll be pretty salty. Not sure how high the ceiling is but Dru is a tough competitor who's been in a good room for a few years now. You could do worse for a backup 125 but don't think you'd want him as your starter.
I wonder how big he is currently, I seem to remember him always being very small/undersized in HS. Never won a IA state title but finished 5th/2nd/2nd/3rd at 106/106/113/120 in his years at Fort Dodge. He faced some tough competition though, lost at state tournament to TJ Koester his soph year and then Jake Knight (going to Illinois) his junior and senior years.

Surprised we haven't gotten anything official on Ayala? Or did I just miss it?

I think it will turn out to be a great hire. I personally think he's a great addition. Plus, I trust Metcalf
Now that is all done.. I am excited to see who our other assistant coach will be!!!

It seems like this one has been kept much more under wraps than the Ayala hire
Metcalf said in his tweet we are adding to the staff "very soon". I am guessing he has his guy locked in
