I think Coleman is a good pickup, but he had some turnover issues.

As for McKeever, he doesn’t really impress me. At 7’2 only shot 50% from the field and had less dunks than Toure. He’s just Adam Woodbury reincarnated. Drew Scharnowski from Belmont would have been a better fit in his system.
Coleman is decent, but isn’t likely a quality starting P5 guard. He’s also not even close to a Stirtz replacement.

$$$$$$$$$$$$$

For profit diploma mill.

They're going to run the New Mountain West
Nice home court environment. Place is really popular with Iowa kids. Had several from DSM area head there. Think they don’t have out of state tuition so you get Phoenix area at less cost than ASU. Bit of a rough neighborhood though.

Iowa got desperate last year and threw big $$ at Folgueras. Wonder how much they're paying Coleman and potentially McKeever?

If they threw 2 mil at Folgueras I’m guessing they will pay close to that for the St Marys big. Plus they probably had to pony up to keep Sage and Koch happy. Those two are going to be nice players for them. Again, it’ll be a whole different ball game now that teams don’t have to fully focus on Stirtz. Iowa letting Folgueras go was a huge mistake but Iowa fans ran him out. Oh well.

Not sure about Coleman, but McKeever didn’t come cheap. McKeever is a really good pickup for them.
Not a horrible pickup. 7’2 and as a sophomore averaged 8 pts, 9 rebounds but only shot 60% from the FT line. Does his game translate to the Big 10? We will find out.

The bigger issue with McKeever is 50% from the field. If your FG% is that low when the majority of your shots are at the rim against mid-major bigs, I’d be concerned. He’ll get tons of rebounds and is massive, but slow footed and can’t finish.

Rock is kinda a wild card. He and Omaha were universally high ranked guys that didn’t come close to their expectations.

Omaha is imho an incredible athlete that got exposed at the next level for his lack of basketball talent when playing guys closer to his physical ability.

Rock…we maybe should have left him at home to grow and develop another year even if his competition level was low. Just physical and emotional maturity would have been good to have an extra year before coming to college.

I’m not a great example, but at 6’5” I know my Fr year at Iowa State vs my SR at HS I was way more coordinated and much more capable on the court. Those 12 months made a lot of difference.
Will be interesting to follow Rock at K State. Could be an example of rebuilding program taking a low cost chance at uncovering what was once thought of as can't miss P5 talent. Or he's the real deal and TJ and ISU look kind of foolish for selling off and not being patient enough with good investment

How do you feel about Mullins returning to UCONN. He’s better than Milan.
Being projected higher in the draft doesn’t mean he’s better. Milan is a wildly more efficient offensive player than Mullins is right now. Will Mullins end up better in the long run, potentially. He’s a good sized jump away from being as good as Milan.

How foolish would TJ have looked with Rock on the bench last season. It was not like Rock torched the competition while he was at New Mexico. On the bright side he did make 23 three point baskets last season for New Mexico- a team record for a guy over 7'.
