I feel like we are in desperation mode at this point. The most recent social media post with Hannah Belanger seems like a cry to help for me.

Will say, Hannah was a great find in the portal and fit our team well. Glad she chose to be a Cyclone.

I personally need to see some good adds to the roster. Yes I am aware there are MANY players out there, but we haven’t added any splashes compared to other schools.

The new Nevada coach’s name is Kelly Sopak and he went 541-97 as a California HS coach while also running a California based club program. One of his daughters is a grad assistant at TCU.

He was hired to rebuild the Nevada program in March 2026 and one of his first portal recruits is Aili Tanke. Why would a Cali guy be targeting a young lady from Iowa when the know-it-alls on CF have determined she’s not a high D1 player? There are literally hundreds of SG in the portal and Kelly Sopak signed Aili - guess he doesn’t think she’s too slow to play D1!

Go Aili! Kick some @ss at your new school and prove the blowhards wrong!

Nevada isn’t a high D1 school.
