WBB: 2026 Transfer Portal

They are losing some good players and a few starters but not great players who will get big NIL money. Their only 1st through 3rd team All-Big 12 is Heard and I heard she is staying. They could very well get more NIL but not any big payday. The gals like Olivia Miles might have gotten a lot of money but the tiers below are not getting the coin everyone seems to automatically think they are.
But what is big money? If a player was making $25k and another school would pay $60k, that could be tempting.

Hell, I changed jobs in my career for a lot less.

Plus, if a player is a young role/core bench player, having a bigger role at a new school might lead to more money in a year.

Divine Bourrage (Davenport North) now at LSU is hitting the portal. Did we recruit her? Any chance we get here? Or will she end up at Iowa?

I wonder if Audi has an overinflated view of her demand at other schools; there's no question the offense revolves around her. What other player would be allowed to play 'defense' like her and stay on the floor?

Did she think most other D1 schools would be dying to plug her into a similar situation on their teams, and then find out this was nowhere near true so is still trying to find a decent offer?

Oh I’m sure Audi is fielding back door offers from agents of other schools.

She's extremely unlikely to end up back in the state of Iowa.

From all of the recruiting scuttlebutt back a couple of years I'd think that is true. Hawks maybe won that recruiting battle by losing out on Bourrage after she stole the limelight from Journey Houston. Didn't see a lot of Hawk games but late in the season Houston looked like a keeper to me while her old teammate was a last off the bench player for LSU.

Houston's very good. Plays much bigger than 5'11/6' and is a great fit and addition to the team culture.

They are asking for it though. Alisa Williams is asking 200k

Who the hell is going to pay Alisa 200k?

Even if a team had a million dollars to from their Rev share for WBB no one is going to give a serviceable backup post 1/5 of the total and most school are not dedicating that much Rev share in the first place.

Twister Sisters used to be appointment TV for me. Now I will struggle to care if Kenzi leaves. My fave as she plays hard.
I'm surly when it comes to Hare as she was hand-picked to supplant my favorite Kelsey Joens, but she has to be one of the most disappointing transfers in the past decade:

2023 - Marquette - 31 GS / 32 GP - 14PTS - 45.5% - 2.1 RBS - 2.4 AST - 1.2 STL - 75.7% FT
2025 - Iowa State - 31 GS / 32 GP - 6 PTS - 40.5% - 2.5 RBS - 0.7 AST - 0.8 STL - 48.5% FT
There's no defense for that brutal stat line - could Tanke or Jensen have been worse?

The corner 3 to beat KU as time expired was the highwater mark of her season, after which my primary memories of her are uncontested missed layups, untimely missed free throws and giving up myriad uncontested three point shots.

In our NCAA loss to Syracuse, KH played 23 minutes with 0 PTS (0-7), 0 RBS and 3 Fouls.

I guess I'm 180 degrees opposite of you. I hope she re-finds her game somewhere else next season and we sign the next Hannah Belanger out of Division II.

I also like how she plays. I think her injury and the surgery did not help her as it set her back and she is in recovery. My hope is her shot comes back next year and she can finish out in style.

I agree. She is a hustle player and has def upside. She struggled some this year mid season, but bounced back before the entire team tanked in the tournaments. If she stays will be interesting to see if she regains consistency next year with a bigger role.

Hare showed flashes/periods of being great, has a quick release and the talent to be a great shooter along with being a plus defender even when not at full health, which I assume she's still not. The free throw thing is obviously a mental issue.

Remains to be seen, but the first full year after that hip surgery for athletes is usually an off year, even if the athlete is technically fully healthy. If she isn't back to form next year, then I'd be more critical.

.
And yet her stats compared to what Joens did are nearly identical.
33 GS / 33 GP 5.4 pts 40.4% 2.9 rbs .67 ast .79 stl 83% ft
