***2026-27 Mens College Basketball Thread***

I'm going to have to apologize to Brad Davison. It seems flopping is engrained into Wisconsin's culture. It wasn't his fault he was raised that way.

It's probably still a toss up, but the edge starts going towards ISU.

I think I disagree. I get that the committee taking conference tournaments seriously varies from year to year (and we've been hosed by it, especially 2 years ago), but you literally have 3 teams who have similar resumes and all struggled to finish the regular season. One team has outright dominated their conference tournament so far, including dismantling a Sweet 16-seeded team; the other team is one-and-out. I think at that point you have to go with the team that had the monster tourney showing.

Wisc, what are we doing. You need one point to win. Has to be a better option than deep three that has a 20% chance of going in

FFS Wisky gets 3-happy down the stretch when taking it to the hole was what got them the lead in the first place.

If Illinois loses, I think we have it. Its very close though. A few of the metrics have shifted the last few days to the point where we have a statistically better resume right now.

What a dumb shot for WI there. You couldn't do anything better than that?
You see it all the time. It seems like coaches are so terrified of running a real play that gets the ball inside, and scoring with a few seconds left and giving the opponent a chance to come back, that they would rather just chuck a 30 footer as the clock expires

Really hoping that regardless of result Wisconsin is off out seed line as a potential second round matchup. I want no part of that matchup. They can shoot 3s well and are money at the FT line.
