Bill Fennelly

Bill's time is long since passed. Game has changed and he and his staff definitely haven't. Clean house with coaches, or close to it, and start over.

Is it me, or is it getting old to watch the staff complain about most no calls and listening to Steyer-johnson on the radio makes eric heft seem to be a ref fan boy.

A lot of Paul Rhoads vibes on the staff when things are not going our way.

It pains me to say it but,

Bill Fennelly may have a Steve Prohm like finish to his career at ISU.

More apt to say, Bill will have a Fran like finish to his career here.
I've been using that analogy for a while now. Bill is Fran minus the embarrassing outbursts. Underachieving teams with occasional success, no defense, no rebounding, and does nothing during the game but fume on the sidelines.

It's to the point where I can barely stand when they show him during games. Always with the red face, arms crossed, with that stupid look on his face while he shakes his head. Always.

How does Bill & staff continue to do the same things over the last 20 years. So dependent on his golden child of the season being the focus of their offense. Not multidimensional, no adjustments. Stagnant.

For some reason it just feel to me like Bills going to wake up one morning, decide he doesn’t like it and retire and put Billy in charge for an audition for the rest of the year

Maybe he is tanking on purpose so he can retire mid-season, Billy takes over and leads a glorious comeback and gets the big job.

He’s not being to put his son in that position this season.

More unfounded hype over the years:

ISU women’s basketball?

Or ISU football’s latest S&C strategy?

JSJ only has her job because of her mom being an assistant coach....she is the definition of a nepo baby
