Wouldn't you want to know your position coach before you commit? With exception of those that grew up fans
The recruits know long before we do who their coach will be. Jimmy's coaching staff is pretty much complete. Several of the new coaches are actively recruiting as we speak.
Yeah, not sure how that all works. Even then it is hard to get to know a coach in a couple weeks, especially a busy staff.
You don't understand that coaches can be hired and working even though not formally announced?

That's a problem not unique to ISU, that's pretty much everyone in the transfer portal being recruited.
Just getting through the HR process is usually 2 weeks to start with. (Background checks, resume checks, yada yada...)
I assume they can tell a new coach you are hired pending..... but cannot announce it until HR clears it.

And HR is on holiday break so not fully staffed. Went through this somewhat with Campbell as well. It will sort out.
And I appreciate the last summary. I think it might be 90+% accurate. Great job in this fluid situation. The two differencec I have seen pretty well confirmed is Heckelberg (sp) as QB coach and Menage versus Cashmore. One of those 2 has to be the ST coach, I would think.

I think some of the coaches could still play based on their intensity.
One thing I noticed watching a few of the WSU games this year, the players were very emotional, intense and do a lot of chatting with opposing players.
