AJ won the game. As important as Audi. Such good defense. Took a real beating and just kept KU's PG in check.

Ku ran loads of screens and sometimes she was on the smaller guard and the weak side help didn't rotate.
Interesting take, as Nichols had 29 points on 8-15 from the floor, 3-3 from the arc and 10-12 from the line. KU is not a physical team so the “beating” you cite is questionable - AJ might play the most physical game on the floor.
I’m glad ISU pulled it out but concerned we got taken to our limit by a short-handed middle of the pack team at home.
No doubt the Big 3 carry the load, but I was surprised AJ didn’t even attempt a shot.
The offense was pretty stagnant all game outside of Audi, Addy, and Jada. I have no idea whether Bill is only running plays to Audi or if the guards were just using her as a security blanket.
How in the heck did we or EIU not end up with the freshman #13 from Cedar Rapids, she would be the perfect type of 3 point shooter this team needs. ISU was 2 of 12 from three point, while KU hit 12 of them. No matter how great Crooks and Brown are in the post, it's going to be difficult to keep winning giving up 36 points from 3 and countering that with 6.
Need more dribble penetration from the guards. Too much standing around the perimeter forcing long entry passes into Audi.
Checking the team stats, the Cyclones are shooting 38% from 3, on 21 attempts per game. I'd consider this an aberration. I think KU concentrated on taking away the 3. An unusual strategy, considering Audi's dominance inside. Almost worked.
Lots of complaining about a team that is 13-0 and just won a before Christmas Break Trap Game. Kansas played very well, had players hit more 3's today than all season long. They gave Audi down low position and she scored 41 pts. Addy and Williams offensively played a good 2nd half, we were 2-8 from 3's, so maybe, just maybe launching 3's was never the game plan.

I’m concerned that our offense is becoming too one dimensional. Teams are not doubling Audi as much and there is no movement in our offense, so our guards are getting very few open shots. We won today, but it really limits how successful this team can be.
I saw maybe 5 minutes and I thought KU had some real speed in their guards that was causing issues so good on ISU to find a way.

Warren Nolan is the one I know of. We were favored 77-64, so the defense wasn't there today.
Agree. I bet Fandel and Parks won't make shots like that the rest of the season.
Don't we get 2 points for each timeout in our pocket at the end of the game . . . .
We literally run zero offense that would generate looks/shots for her. We HAVE to start running some actual offense, this approach isn’t going to beat many good teams.
