Huh, mega mergers end up being bad for consumers? I was told differently......snark.

My guess would be Nada, Zilch, Zero.So YTTV is gonna give me money back if I have no ESPN. I wonder how much ESPN is going to give me back for my ESPN+ that I probably won't be able to access.
Why wouldn't you be able to access ESPN+?So YTTV is gonna give me money back if I have no ESPN. I wonder how much ESPN is going to give me back for my ESPN+ that I probably won't be able to access.
No, I'm guessing they want people to switch to ESPN's dedicated streaming app.Disney has a vested interest in this lasting a long time because they own Hulu Live + and will want as many YouTubers to switch to Hulu. Unfortunately we don't have access to the negotiations to see who is the enemy here.
The house of mouse is the enemy. And I'm not defending google, they are also terrible. But this play is to take subscribers away from youtubetv.Disney has a vested interest in this lasting a long time because they own Hulu Live + and will want as many YouTubers to switch to Hulu. do people just not watch normal tv anymore?
local channels?
or do most of you just have tv specifically for sports?
the ease of use of YTTV is too good to pass up.
i can wait out a negotiation. these companies have a better incentive to get a deal done than not
Pretty sure my tv logs into my ESPN app through my YTTV credentials. Since there isn't a separate app for ESPN+, not sure how I would access it if I can't log into the ESPN app. Maybe a way around it, I don't really know. Why wouldn't you be able to access ESPN+?
You should have a separate app for ESPN. We use a firestick, YTTV and ESPN are different apps. I watch regular ESPN channels via YTTV, but not ESPN+. You pay a separate subscription to ESPN+ than you do to YTTV, so not having one should not prevent access to the other.Pretty sure my tv logs into my ESPN app through my YTTV credentials. There are two sign ins in the espn app, TV provider and Account. The account one gives access to ESPN+.Pretty sure my tv logs into my ESPN app through my YTTV credentials. maybe it's just the ease of being able to flip from TNT, to ESPN, to CBS for games on one platform.Nobody in our house watches normal TV anymore. I can pretty safely say the only shows that have been watched on our YouTube TV in the last couple years are sports and Maine Cabin Masters. If this ruins the last of the F1 races this season I'm going to be legitimately pissed. I really don't want to end up paying for F1TV too. We have enough subscriptions.
Thank You, this is the work around I didn't know. There are two sign ins in the espn app, TV provider and Account. The account one gives access to ESPN+.
Well, go ahead and enjoy paying $30/mo for espn. You will probably do it. I’ll pass.Yep every loves a scrappy underdog like… checks notes.. Google
Because their streams suck. For one of the Iowa State basketball non-con games last year, the stream went out in the last 5 minutes of the game. I asked them for a credit and they basically called me a liar. I was like "check twitter, everyone is complaining". They didn't budge. I cancelled and will never go back. Why wouldn't you be able to access ESPN+?
I mean, I hate ESPN, but I do think that was probably a coincidenceI'm sure it's a coincidence that the one weekend that the Big 12 is getting to host College GameDay is the same weekend ESPN/Disney knew they'd go dark on YouTubeTV and it would hurt the ratings
