ISU unranked in AP poll

I agree, its much more about how others moved for me. I am fine with where we are, but how much some of these others move is insane. If ISU had one loss on their schedule they would be lucky to be 25th, yet Bama is top 10, such a joke.

The week we were 12th I thought “nice but I’m not sure”.

14th this week I’m like “yes obviously we are top 15”.

ISU just needs to survive and advance. If Indiana, Tennessee, Ole Miss and Alabama would have all lost yesterday, ISU is likely in the top 10. Yes, there is poll inertia, but it does shake out in the end-* *-Yes, I am one of those guys! :)

I genuinely believe the SEC’s 16 is just truly deeper than ours.

There is absolutely no evidence the 4th best Big Ten team is any better than our top 8 teams and a lot of evidence they’re probably comparable. The Big Ten has three legit NC contenders and 15 other teams that’d be very typical in big 12 finishing anywhere from first to dead last.
Oregon and Ohio State. Dont say Penn State. They cant beat top ten teams.

If any of those teams you listed lose, they drop two to four spots. If ISU or any B12 team loses, they will drop five to ten spots. You can talk this survive and advance stuff all you want but the fact of the matter is that we are playing with a different set rules and have little margin for error when a SEC or B10 team can lose multiple games to inferior opponents and still recover.

All four of those teams (Indiana, Tennessee, Ole Miss and Alabama) would 100% be ranked behind ISU with a loss yesterday. That was my only point. How far back doesn't really matter. I just don't get all bent out of shape from the polls. If ISU wins, things will be good.

See here’s the problem with that. For Iowa State and teams similar, it’s “Just win and we’re fine.” For the big brands/SEC it’s “Don’t worry we can afford a loss or two and things will shake out in our favor.”

That’s ******** lol

Finebaum is cut from the same cloth as Colin Cowherd - he's an elitist who thinks the rest of college football (including the Big 10) exists solely to be fodder for the SEC.
He’s Greg Sankey’s press secretary, he parrots out any ******** that Sankey wants him to. I wouldn’t be surprised if he was just a wrinkly, lifelike puppet that is controlled by Sankey’s arm elbow deep up his ass.

Finebaum looks like an old man who did a poor job manscaping his ballsac.

Problem is.... even if the SEC or B1G lose, they call it a "good loss," and they are still good.

Its easy to make everything a "good loss" when they artificially inflate the ratings of everyone in those conferences, so that if they lose its always to a ranked team. And if they lose to anyone not ranked they hurry up and move that non ranked team into the top 15 to justify that loss. Unranked Florida State vs top 10 Bama for instance, who then went and lost to Virginia, who to justify that had to get ranked themselves.

You only have to look at us dropping 2 spots in a bye week, followed by Oklahoma jumping 2 spots in their bye to see how much BS polls by humans are. And dont think for 1 second that the playoff committee are not looking at these polls, swaying their mindset for when they start ranking.
