Willie Miklus, an Altoona native, is leaving Missouri to finish his final year of eligibility at Iowa State, according to IAWrestle.

Miklus missed out on the majority of his 2014 and 2017 seasons due to injuries and the NCAA granted him a sixth year of eligibility.

Milkus has an impressive resume as he comes on to join the Cyclones with three All-American honors (2015, 2016 and 2018) and an eighth-place at this year’s NCAA Tournament. After making a weight change to 197 in 2017-2018 season, Milkus ended the year with an overall record of 25-6.

Looking at Iowa State’s roster, Milkus will join redshirt sophomore Samuel Colbray, who started majority of the season at 197, redshirt freshman Kaden Sauer and redshirt junior Joe Teague.
