This is a really cool developing story. Former Cyclone Deonte Burton has signed on to play summer league ball with the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Guys, the Timberwolves NBA “G-League” affiliate is in Des Moines. Who knows if Deonte will stick, but there is at least a decent chance that he will be playing professional basketball in central Iowa next season!

Burton averaged 15.1 points and 6.2 rebounds per game as a senior at Iowa State.

The NBA’s Summer League begins on July 1 and ends July 17.
