VEGAS: Texas opens as a 4 point favorite vs. Cyclones

The experts in the desert see a good one shaping up on Thursday night in Ames.

Texas is 1-2 on the season but after taking to No. 5 USC to overtime just over a week ago, there is reason to believe that first year head coach Tom Herman might have things turned in the right direction.

The Longhorns opened as a 4 point favorite over Iowa State (2-1) on Sunday. Since then, the line has moved to Texas being favored by 5.5. That means that the early money is on Texas.

Texas’ season opened out in rough form via a 51-41 loss to Maryland. The Longhorns snapped back and beat San Jose State 56-0 in week 2.
