Due to a conflict (that was announced last week), Paul Rhoads’ weekly press conference will be held on Tuesday of this week.

Iowa State still released its Oklahoma State week depth chart on Monday morning though. You can view it in its entirety by CLICKING HERE. Notes on changes are listed below.

Depth chart notes

*** The big "OR" behind Sam Richardson’s name is what stands out immediately. This shouldn’t surprise anybody though. Rhoads hinted at a quarterback competition after Iowa State’s loss to Baylor on Saturday night. Is it really a competition though or is the "OR" there because of Richardson’s health? Regardless, Grant Rohach will get his shot to impress the offensive coaching staff leading up to Saturday’s 11:00 a.m. kick.

*** There is an "OR" next to Kyle Lichtenberg’s name at QT as well. Lichtenberg, who is in the lineup replacing an injured Jacob Gannon, visibly struggled on Saturday night in Waco (to be fair, the entire line did). The only thing surprising about this is the fact that redshirt freshman Jacob Dunning is apparently right there with the fifth-year senior. To clearly show Iowa State’s issues on the offensive line, Dunning is also listed as the program’s second-string ST (behind Brock Dagel) heading into Saturday.

*** Charlie Rogers is now being listed as a backup to Jared Brackens at SLB. This really isn’t a change. Rogers hasn’t played the true cornerback position since a week one loss to UNI. He’s been heading things up at the nickel and will likely do so for the rest of the season. This just now appears different on paper.

*** Speaking of cornerback, Jansen Watson has missed the last two games for the Cyclones and now, there is an "OR" next to his name at left cornerback, with Sam E. Richardson behind him. At right cornerback, true freshman Nigel Tribune is listed as the starter with sophomore Kenneth Lynn at second-string.

KSU kick time

Iowa State’s road trip to Kansas State on Nov. 2 will be a 2:30 kick on Fox Sports 1.
