According to Rivals.com, the top-ranked wide receiver in college football’s 2014 recruiting class is an Iowa State commitment.

That prospect is Urbandale’s Allen Lazard, who stands at 6-foot-4, 190 pounds. Lazard, who verbally committed to Iowa State back in December, accounted for 928 receiving yards and 11 touchdowns for Urbandale (7-3) in 2012.

In addition to being Rivals’ top-ranked receiver, Lazard is the 24th ranked overall player in the class.

As of today, Lazard is Iowa State’s lone known verbal commitment for 2014.
