Fred Hoiberg got his 2014 recruiting class off to a fantastic start on Monday with the commitment of Overland Park, Kan. point guard Clayton Custer.

Custer, who Rivals.com ranks as a 4-star prospect, announced his decision on Metro Sports in Kansas City Monday evening. Custer attended Iowa State’s 88-68 victory over Campbell on Sunday night as an unofficial visit.

Custer chose Iowa State over a handful of impressive offers including: Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Kansas State and South Carolina to name a few. 

According to our site’s scholarship chart, Iowa State has three scholarships to give after Custer’s commitment.
