AMES, Iowa – Iowa State guard Monté Morris earned his second Phillips 66 Big 12 Player of the Week award of the season after averaging 19 points, 4.5 assists and 3.5 rebounds in the Cyclones’ two wins against Oklahoma and TCU. 

Morris shot 65.2 percent (15-of-23) from the floor, including 3-of-4 from 3-point range. 

He helped Iowa State to a win over top-ranked Oklahoma, finishing with 20 points and seven boards against the Sooners, the second victory in school history against a No. 1 team. Morris followed that effort with 18 points and six assists against TCU. 

In the last five games, Morris is averaging 19 points and shooting 62.7 percent from the floor, 57.1 percent from behind the arc and 72.2 percent from the charity stripe.

Morris and the Cyclones host Kansas tonight at Hilton Coliseum. Tipoff is scheduled for 8 p.m. on ESPN.
