The news is finally official.

One of the top prospects in college basketball’s 2014 recruiting class, Rashad Vaughn, has decided to attend UNLV and not Iowa State. Vaughn announced his decision on the CBS Sports Network Tuesday evening.

Travis Hines from the Ames Tribune reported the news via Twitter late Tuesday afternoon.

Vaughn had recently narrowed his list to UNLV, Iowa State, North Carolina, Kentucky and Kansas.

Check out CycloneFanatic.com later this evening for analysis on what this means for Iowa State from Brent Blum.
