On Tuesday evening, our Ian Smith reported via Twitter that the Iowa State women’s basketball program had picked up a 2014 commitment in the form of point guard Nakiah Bell.

Bell is the 80th ranked prospect in the class of 2014 (and the 22nd best point guard) according to ProspectsNation.com.

Bell’s prep school, the Incarnate Word Academy, went 31-0 last season in route to a Class 4 Missouri state championship. Bell averaged 10.7 points, seven assists and 1.8 steals per game during her junior season.
