Head coach Jimmy Rogers has announced the special teams coaches for his first staff at Iowa State.

Rob Grande will serve as special teams coordinator while Ron Pavlik and Jacob Studdard will assist in coaching the Cyclone specialists.

Rob Grande – Special Teams Coordinator – Full Bio

Grande returns for his seventh season at Iowa State as the special teams coordinator. He has worked with ISU’s special teams units since 2023, with last season’s group taking home five Big 12 Special Teams Player of the Week honors, three by kicker Kyle Konrardy and two by return man Aiden Flora, both of which are returning to the Cyclones in 2026. Punter Tyler Perkins was a semifinalist for the Ray Guy Award and earned honorable mention honors from the Big 12 in his final season as a Cyclone.

Ron Pavlik – Assistant Special Teams – Full Bio

Pavlik, a Portage, Indiana, native, comes to Iowa State after spending the last three seasons alongside Rogers at both Washington State and South Dakota State. WSU ranked sixth nationally averaging 17.3 yards per punt returns, while finishing 16thin punt return defense (3.91). The Cougar special teams also finished in the top 40 for kick return defense (17.9).

Jacob Studdard – Assistant Special Teams – Full Bio

Studdard arrives at Iowa State following three seasons as running backs coach and special teams coordinator for Grand Valley State, which included a pair of NCAA Division II playoff appearances. The Southfield, Michigan, native, played at Grand Valley State and helped the Lakers to a 42-9 record as a player.
