AMES — Sunday felt like one of those days you don’t just cover… you feel it.
After 21 long years, Iowa State didn’t just beat Iowa. The Cyclones took the Cy-Hawk wrestling trophy back in dominant, undeniable fashion, and I got to capture every second of it. Every emotion. Every win. Every celebration. Every moment where you could sense the weight of two decades finally lifting.
From the nerves to the eruption after the final takedowns, the emotions were everywhere — on their faces, in the crowd, in the way Hilton practically vibrated. I followed all of it through my lens, trying to tell the full story frame by frame.
