Marial Shayok and George Conditt IV went head to head on Sunday in Paris as South Sudan took down Puerto Rico 90-79 in pool play action.
Shayok was the second-leading scorer for South Sudan, netting 15 points on 5-10 shooting from the field. He added three rebounds, an assist and a steal, as well.
On the other side of the court, Conditt IV ended his day shooting 6-6 from the field and tallying 13 points. He added a team-high six rebounds, along with an assist, a steal and a block.
Both athletes will be back in action on Wednesday in more pool play games.
Tyrese Haliburton did not play in Team USA’s 110-84 win over Serbia.
