The Big 12 Conference held a meeting virtually Tuesday between its presidents and chancellors where it was voted on unanimously that the league would agree to settle in the ongoing House vs. NCAA case, according to a report from Pete Thamel at ESPN.

The only parties that abstained from the vote came from departing members Texas and Oklahoma.

Aside from the Big 12, the other four ‘power conferences’ are expected to hold votes in the coming days over the matter.

The settlement, according to the report is expected to pass, which will allow member institutions to pay their athletes in the future and create a fund of $2.7 billion to pay former athletes that were not allowed to receive money from their name, image, or likeness.

The expected revenue sharing model includes an allotted amount of around $20 million per year and could start in the fall of 2025, according to the report.

There’s been no clarity thus far on the effects of Title IX in the case, and the report states that decisions on other effects could take more than six months to be made.
