Former Iowa State Cyclone Ashley Joens has been waived in a roster space move by the WNBA’s Dallas Wings.

The team announced the news Wednesday, parting ways with Joens, who they selected with the 19th overall pick in the draft this year.

In eight games with the Wings this season, Joens averaged 1.7 minutes per game and scored 0.3 points per game in her limited time on the floor.

Joens now becomes a free agent and will be allowed to sign with any of the other 11 WNBA franchises along with the exploration of overseas basketball over the off-season this fall.
