Iowa State cornerbacks coach Matt Caponi is headed South for new opportunity.

The coach, who spent four seasons at Iowa State will take over as the defensive coordinator at North Texas according to ESPN’s Pete Thamel.

There Caponi will coach alongside newly hired head coach Eric Morris, who turned around Incarnate Word’s program before taking a season as Washington State’s offensive coordinator.
