The newest addition to Iowa State’s men’s basketball roster announced his decision on Saturday night – Hason Ward is a Cyclone.

As a 6-foot-9, 215-pound forward, the transfer out of VCU averaged 6.5 points and 4.8 rebounds per game for the program last season.

Ward will provide another big body for the Cyclones’ roster after the team lost George Conditt to the professional ranks.

Iowa State’s newest transfer is also a former member of the Atlantic 10 all-defense team.

Ward will have two seasons of eligibility left when he arrives on campus this fall.
