Monday, January 31

Iowa State hosts junior day, including major four-star prospect

The football program hosted a number of prospects for the past two Saturday basketball home games, one of which being four-star edge rusher Chandavian Bradley.

The Platte County, Mo. native holds offers from USC, Oklahoma as well as Michigan and the Cyclones seem to be right in the mix.

Wednesday, February 2

Iowa State signs two, along with 10 PWO’s to complete the 2022 class, rated as highest in program history

Iowa State rounded out its 2022 recruiting class by signing two scholarship athletes on Wednesday in Jace Gilbert and Jontez Williams.

Gilbert is a five-star kicking and punting prospect and could solidify Iowa State’s spot at each position for the next few years.

The class comes in at No. 37 in the 247Sports Rankings, the best mark the school has had in the modern era.

Thursday, February 3

Cyclones offer four on Thursday

Four athletes announced offers from Iowa State on Thursday, including the trio of Micah Mays Jr., Jarriett Buie and Guerlens Milfort.

Mays Jr. holds offers from Duke, Appalachian State, Illinois and Wake Forest and comes in as a 6-foot-2 wide receiver prospect.

Buie, a fellow receiver, holds offers from West Virginia and Toledo, while the defensive lineman in Milfort has secured offers from Florida Atlantic and UConn.

Iowa State becomes the first to offer Milwaukee RB

After Breece Hall and David Montgomery left their marks on the Iowa State football program, it’s important to note when this coaching staff finds a running back recruit, even if they do offer a plethora of athletes.

The staff extended an offer to Nate White this week – a 6-foot, 175-pound running back with a 4.5-second 40-yard-dash – becoming the first program to offer the prospect. White is in the 2023 class.

Friday, February 4

Local 6-foot-7 tight end earns offer from Cyclones

Iowa State offered a 6-foot-7, 245-pound tight end from down the road at Nevada High School on Friday morning.

The program is the first Power 5 school to extend an offer to Carson Rhodes, who will be in the 2023 class, but joins Kent State as FBS offers for the prospect.

Rhodes also holds offers to UNI and South Dakota.
